Size, power and connections
| Item | Value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Controller board | 230 × 105 mm | Our design |
| Controller layout | 10 pump jacks along one long side; 4 air and 6 water jacks along the other; 2 USB-C ports at one end; the power input and the WiFi module at the other | Our design |
| Pump driver board | 30 × 50 mm: RJ45 at one end, motor and encoder connector at the other, motor supply on the side | Our design |
| Cases | Planned for the controller and for each pump driver, as in the pictures. Size, material and rating not fixed | To be confirmed |
| Controller supply | DC, voltage not fixed | To be confirmed |
| Pump motor supply | 12 V or 24 V DC | To be confirmed |
| Power consumption | Not measured | To be confirmed |
| Network | WiFi 2.4 GHz; the ESP32-C5 also has 5 GHz, not yet tested | Our design |
| Sensor and pump connections | RJ45 sockets carrying power and RS-485 or CAN | Our design |
| Case rating and certification | None yet | To be confirmed |
The RJ45 sockets are not network ports. They carry power and control signals. Never connect them to a router, switch or computer.
Routine maintenance
- Calibrate pH, EC and ORP probes with standard solutions. The interval is to be confirmed.
- Replace the dissolved-oxygen film yearly (manufacturer figure).
- Let the CO₂ sensor see fresh air weekly so its automatic baseline stays correct.
- Replace pump tubing at an interval that depends on the pump model, not yet chosen.
